Cincinnati Soap Box Derby

The Cincinnati Soap Box Derby is a FREE youth racing program open to any child at least 7 years of age and 17 yrs. old. Children compete by driving their racers in one of two levels of gravity powered racing cars built from kits purchased from the International Soap Box Derby. Don’t have a Derby car, no need to worry, we have plenty to borrow.

The Cincinnati Soap Box Derby is a nonprofit youth organization whose mission is to build knowledge and character, and to create meaningful experiences through collaboration and fair and honest competition. We invite area youth from the Greater Cincinnati area including areas as far north as Dayton as well as Kentucky and Indiana to race with us.

OfficeKey has pledged to remain the Race Season sponsor for the 2026 Cincinnati Soap Box Derby season. Cincinnati Soap Box Derby welcomes back the Perfection Group Foundation Fund. They have pledged to be the Presenting Sponsor for the 2026 Cincinnati Soap Box Derby season. Their sponsorship will provide funds to offset race fees for Tri-State youth so they can participate in free events as well as helping keep our inventory of cars in working order for the race season. The Perfection Foundation Fund is part of The Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
